I would
like to take a little time to reflect on a show that gets a lot of love, while
also receiving just as much hate. Jim Cramer has hosted “Mad Money with Jim
Cramer” on CNBC since 2005 and his viewer base continues to grow. It is a know
fact that he has made many people rich with his stock recommendations that,
many times, go against the grain of the rest of Wall Street. With that, I would
like to think a lot of the hate he generates is from the people who sheep off
of him and it doesn’t work out. As you know with the stock market, no matter
how good it looks on paper, you never truly know (If you do, have fun in
prison). I, personally, enjoy watch Jim Cramer’s show because he makes a lot of
good points about certain stocks that you wouldn’t normally think about. On top
of that, he is a wealth of knowledge. When people call into the show to ask his
opinion on an investment they are considering, he always gives them a very
blunt answer that he backs up with educated opinions. One of Cramer’s major
selling points for the show is that he doesn’t want to tell you where to invest (although that’s why
many people watch it), rather he wants to teach you how to think about the market. He wants you to think as if you are
one of the big players on Wall Street, even if you are only managing a $1000
portfolio. Even if you have heard bad things in the past about Jim Cramer’s Mad
Money, I implore you to give it another shot with a more open mind. Find him on
CNBC every weekday at 5PM CT.
